At a ceremony on December 15, Dr. Brian DeBroff, DCI President, and Professor Azad Khan, DAB President and Director of DCI’s Bangladesh operations, officially inaugurated DCI’s Childhood Blindness Prevention (CBP) Program. The goal of this program is to provide free preventive eye care, as well as diagnosis and treatment, to underprivileged children worldwide. In collaboration with the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh (DAB), Ophthalmological Society of Bangladesh (OSB), Ispahani Eye Hospital, Terre-Des-Hommes Eye Hospital, Harun Eye Foundation and other organizations, DCI will now seek to help as many needy children and infants as possible by extending its CBP Program throughout Bangladesh.
