Matching Gift
Did you know that many corporations, large and small match the donations their employees make to charitable organizations like DCI. Find out how you can double your donations at no extra cost to you!
To find out if the company where you work will match your contributions to DCI, just follow these three simple steps:
Step One
Ask the Human Resources Officer where you work if there is a charitable Matching Gift program.
Step Two
If the answer is "yes", ask for a Matching Gift Form and complete your portion.
Step Three
Include the form with your next gift to DCI. All company matching funds go to provide desperately needed support for our children.
How will your Matching Gift help?
All proceeds from the Matching Gifts program benefit our child-centered programs in health, education, family income & community improvement. This fund helps us support:
- Newly enrolled children who otherwise would wait weeks, even months, for a long-term child sponsor to be found sponsor.
- Children who have lost their family support system due to poverty or natural disaster.
Become a volunteer
People volunteer for a host of reasons. Many feel compassion for others in need and others are passionate about the issues. Whatever the reason, DCI provides a wide variety of options to get involved that match your interest and skills. You can download and print the flyer for volunteers. Also, check out our Volunteering Abroad Program. You can also contact us online.

Product Donations
Your company's products, excess inventory, or discontinued items can make a significant impact as gifts-in-kind to thousands of children without access to the essential goods we take for granted every day. By donating your excess inventory you receive savings in storage in, tax deductions, opportunities for public relations, and a good feeling about knowing you are helping people in need.
DONATE SCHOOL SUPPLY
It’s hard to believe, but a need as simple as a pencil, a piece of paper, a binder, or notebooks, can stand between a child and his or her education. The children of the villages where DCI works are responsible for bringing basic school supplies because their school simply cannot afford to provide them. Their families often cannot afford these items, so many children are prevented from attending school simply because they do not have access to basic school supplies.
DONATE MEALS FOR SCHOOL
These children are in danger of dropping out because their family cannot afford even the simplest food, so the children need to enter the work force. The schools cannot afford to give them any free meals. A simple snack or milk, provided during school hours, would provide some of them with an incentive to stay in school.
DONATE MEDICAL SUPPLY
Health centers lack basic supplies and those supplies that are available run the risk of being reused, especially syringes. The nurses have no choice but to give only advice when supplies are lacking. Millions of children around the world die every year from diseases that could easily be prevented if they had the medical resources. DCI is trying to bring health care to poor villagers & slum residents. However, first aid supplies and pharmaceuticals are necessary for this care to happen.
DONATE PERSONAL CARE
Soap and clean water, are one of the most effective ways of combating sickness and death for children and families living in the poorest communities around the world. Access to safe water and sanitation cuts a community’s child mortality rate in half. DCI starts its work by providing the basics of life and progresses into long-term community development programs that tackle the root causes of poverty. DCI is seeking your donations of personal care products to help people in need. Packaging changes, shift in demand, and overproduction can leave companies like yours with excess or slow moving inventory. While you are left to decide what to do with the inventory, there are people throughout the world that need your product to improve sanitation and personal hygiene.
DONATE DISASTER RELIEF
DCI is seeking corporate donations of personal care products, basic school supplies, winter apparel, and blankets to help innocent victims of natural disasters.
DCI accepts only large volumes of gift-in-kind product from corporations and private donors. We do not accept clothing or household donations from individual donors.
